What are the on campus accommodation costs?

Accommodation is not included in the fees but available at an extra cost through ALT's online booking service:

Single Ensuite (Halls) - £40 single rate per night;
Single Ensuite (Weston Conference Centre Hotel) - £67 single rate per night;
Double Ensuite (Weston Conference Centre Hotel) - £80 double rate per night.

Bookings have now closed for ALT-C 2005 and for accommodation.

What if I want to stay off campus?

A varied selection of hotel accommodation has been arranged by ALT through First Option and is available nearby, at preferential rates. This is separate from the ALT Conference registration service. We strongly recommend that this type of accommodation is booked after your place at the conference has been confirmed.

When can I get into my room?

Delegates can check into their accommodation from 2.00pm onwards and check out on the final morning is by 9.30am. On arrival, delegates will be allocated a bedroom and issued with their key/swipe card.

Where do I collect my keys from?

Delegates staying in the Weston Conference Centre Hotel and Halls, please go to the reception desk found in the Weston Conference Centre Hotel.

The Reception is staffed 24 hours a day.

Is there a luggage store near to my accommodation?

Luggage may be left in a number of areas:

  • the secure cloakroom at the Hotel for residents;
  • the ground floor of the Renold Building;

What facilities are available within the accommodation?

The Weston Conference Centre Hotel rooms are equipped with hairdryer, trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities, satellite TV and private telephone/ethernet connection.

En-suite student accommodation offers single bedded rooms with en-suite shower/toilet, private telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Shared lounge/kitchens with TVs, iron/ironing boards are also available.

Standard (non-ensuite) student accommodation offers single bedded rooms with washbasin, private telephone facilities and shared bathrooms on the basis of 1:4. Shared lounge/kitchens with TVs, tea/coffee making facilities and iron/ironing boards are also available.

Is there disabled accommodation?

A number of specially-adapted rooms are available, all en-suite, which are wheelchair-accessible and should be appropriate for most major physical disabilities. These are located in the Weston Building Conference Centre and Weston Hall.

All bedrooms have private telephones linked to 24-hour reception facilities.

Where is breakfast served?

Breakfast is served at the following venues:

Delegates staying in Weston Conference Centre Hotel will have breakfast served in the restaurant in the Hotel.

Delegates staying in Halls will have breakfast served in the Harwood Room, Barnes Wallis Building.
