Information for new submitters

For those of you who are new to ALT and ALT-C and are perhaps unsure of whether your idea for a conference paper maybe feasible or pitched at the right level/audience for an ALT-C, the following Programme Committee Members have indicated a willingness to act as 'buddies' and offer some general advice:

Jane Seale
Jim Petch
Carmel McNaught
Janice Whatley
Stephen Brown

The feedback offered is at the level of reacting to ideas rather than providing detailed and extensive comments on complete papers/abstracts.

If you think you would find the advice of one the 'buddies' helpful, please feel free to email them with your idea and they will endeavour to give you some general feedback that should help you with future submissions.

Process for submitting research papers for refereeing and abstracts to be reviewed

We published the guidelines for all submission types, including details of the Outstanding Research Paper Award on 10 December 2004.

Except by specific arrangement with Rhonda Riachi, the Director of ALT, research papers and abstracts should have been submitted to us using our web-based paper-submission system. For further information, please email Rhonda Riachi, or call +44 (0)1865 484143.
