Here are brief biographies of the people who work for ALT, with short descriptions of their roles.

Picture of Emma Carr-Jones Emma Carr-Jones - Finance Manager. Reporting to the Outgoing Head of Operations and Events, Emma's role is to provide day-to-day financial management of ALT's core operations and its external projects. She also advises the staff team on financial and management accounts, budgets, and procedures within ALT.

 

Picture of Maren KurzMaren Deepwell - Operations and Services Manager. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Maren's role is to provide a full range of membership services in ALT and develop these in line with membership needs. Maren is also responsible for managing ALT’s day to day operations, coordinating the work of the whole Oxford-based ALT staff team and is managing maternity cover for Louise.



Picture of Hayley WillisHayley Maisey - Outgoing Head of Operations and Events. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Hayley is responsible for managing ALT’s day to day operations, coordinating the work of the whole Oxford-based ALT staff team and for the operational planning, management, and delivery of ALT’s conferences and events, including ALT’s annual international conference ALT-C. Hayley is leaving ALT on 13 April 2011 and is currently handing over her responsbilities to Maren and Mark.

 

Picture of Louise RyanLouise Ryan - Publications Manager (Web and print) - maternity leave . Reporting to the Chief Executive, Louise coordinates the editing and production of ALT's print and web-based output. Louise is currently on maternity leave.



Picture of Seb Schmoller Seb Schmoller - Chief Executive. Reporting to the Chair of ALT's Central Executive Committee, Seb leads the ALT staff team. His work concentrates on providing leadership and guidance to ALT, in particular on policy development and strategy, links with partner organisations, income generation, representation and negotiation, and professionalisation.


Picture of John Slater Professor John Slater - Acting Director of Development. Reporting to the Chief Executive, John leads ALT's effort to develop learning technology as a discipline, with a particular focus on the annual international ALT conference, learning technology projects, policy and research.

 

(Photo to follow) Mark Tindall - Interim Events Manager. Reporting to the Chief Executive, Mark is responsbile for the operational planning, management, and delivery of ALT’s conferences and events, including ALT’s annual international conference ALT-C.
